Sunburn could be treated with herbal methods if it is mild one but it does not support completely if is to second or third degree sunburn. Second and third degree sunburns means the inner layers of skin beneath the outer most layers are also affected much. This can be easily identified and differentiated with the mild attack by the development of blisters on the surface of the skin. The treatment techniques are decided only based on the size and the number of blisters present. If it is a small blisters very less than one inch then a proper care is sufficient. Never bring any rough surface in contact with them, never smash those blisters, do not cover that area with clothes if it is unnecessary if it is essential then initially role a loose bandage around that area. While handling large blister you need to take care of the following procedure. Before touching the blisters wash your hand with proper soaps and water so that you never allow for any infections to occur.

Then using a clean needle after washing it with a mild soap you use that for puncturing the blister. Try to drain out the entire fluid content present in that. Then apply an antibiotic lotion on it and never bring that surface in contact with alcohol or iodine rich content since they are found to delay the process of healing. Then cover it with a loose bandage and change the bandage daily after cleaning it. Apply the lotion every time after cleaning the area and before placing new set.
