When the skin get exposed to extensive amount of radiation then the color of the skin will turn red which will lead to sunburn. After treatment the patches due to the blisters present will be seen abruptly which will leave a dark layer than the rest of the area. It is found that people with dark color skin has the less chance of acquiring the sunburn because they will have large melamine present in the inner layers of skin which has the ability to absorb the solar radiations hence they do not feel the impact much only people with light color skins are found to suffer a lot. It is necessary that these patches must be removed this there are chances for these things to turn into life threatening disease skin cancer. The dark area implies the cells in that region are dead ones they have the capacity to replicate in large amount in an uncontrolled manner. These dead cells will lose their control and they will turn in to suicidal cells hence only a proper repair mechanism can control there activities.
These cells can not be removed alone hence the whole layer of cells in and around the damaged location is peeled off. Once these dead cells are peeled then new set of cells will rise to the outer most layers. Once this treatment is done then there are only very less chances for acquiring skin cancer but the person must control often exposing themselves on sunlight and should take adequate amount of water.
